- Account Information: Your phone number is used for secure authentication via Firebase.
- Profile Information: Your name and role (Parent or Caregiver) within the family group.
- Health Data: With your explicit permission, we sync data from Apple Health (iOS) or Google Fit/Health Connect (Android), including steps, heart rate, and sleep duration.
- Well-being Data: Manual check-ins where you provide information about your mood and energy levels.
- Care Data: Information about medications and appointments entered by you or your connected family members.
2. How We Use Your Data
The primary purpose of DailyCare is to keep family members informed about each other’s well-being. We use the data to:
- Provide real-time safety monitoring for designated family members.
- Send automated reminders for medications and check-ins.
- Show historical health trends to caregivers.
- Facilitate emergency calls to a primary contact.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Your personal and health information is shared only with family members you have explicitly accepted a connection request from in the app. You can remove these connections at any time from the Settings screen.
4. Third-Party Services
DailyCare uses trusted third-party providers to function:
- Google Firebase: For secure authentication, database storage (Firestore), and push notifications.
- RevenueCat: For managing premium subscriptions and ensuring your access across devices.
- Apple Health / Google Health Connect: As sources for your activity and vital data.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You have full control over your data:
- Delete Account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (health history, medications, profile) via the Settings screen.
- Revoke Permissions: You can stop health data syncing at any time through your phone’s system settings.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All communication between the app and our database is encrypted, and health data is handled according to the strict privacy guidelines of Apple and Google.
